I am interested in finding alternative treatments/nutrition specifically for RA. Currently, I take B Vitamins for energy, Daily Multi, and Fish Oil. Any other suggestions or recommendations would be appreciated.

As you likely know, rheumatoid arthritis affects more than 6 million Americans, the vast majority of them women. Given the inflammatory nature of RA, anything that supports reduction in body inflammation will likely be of support to you: fresh, clean foods; bone broth; therapeutic doses of Omega 3 fats (3-6 grams/day); supplemental enzymes taken away from food to alleviate pain and swelling; conscious breathing and stress management; and so on.

Getting underneath possible food allergies/sensitivities might also be an important step in managing your RA. Other common causes might include adrenal exhaustion, low fresh vegetable intake (mineral imbalance), auto-toxemia from constipation... (ref. Healthy Healing by L. Page).

I have attached various files to provide you with information and support. Files include:

'Food Allergies vs. Food Sensitivities'
'Simple Elimination Diet'
'Eating Whole Foods'
'Do Your Adrenals Need a Tune Up' (will include some specific supplements that might be supportive - if in fact Adrenal Exhaustion is an underlying cause for your RA)
'Enzymes Energize' (includes information addressing the pain reducing/healing functions of enzymes)

I encourage you to consider scheduling a session with one of our in-store Nutritional Health Coaches. The service is free, and would enable you to individually customize a dietary and supplemental program. I have attached a list of NHC's in case you choose to take advantage of this service.
