I have heard in many articles that kids with ADD or signs of ADD may just be lacking Omega 3 essential fatty acids. Is there a kids brand or dosage that you can buy? Please let me know.

We carry a variety of supplements at Vitamin Cottage with omega 3 essential fatty acids for kids. Nordic Naturals makes “Children’s DHA” formula in a strawberry flavored liquid or chewable softgel. Coromega comes in packets with a creamy pudding-like texture. “Learning Factors” by Natural Factors comes in a softgel or smoothie mix. Most of the products will list dosages per the age of the child.

Below I have attached two documents with information on kids and ADD. The first document “Feeding Kids’ Brains” will discuss foods that maximize nutrition for the brain. There are some recipes attached also. In the second document “Honing in on Focus and Attention” there is a list of nutritional supplements to consider for the child who has ADD or ADHD.
