As the attached document (Natural Foods for Optimal Health) states, what you put in your body can influence whether or not you’ll develop heart disease, type-2 diabetes, cancer, or have a host of other health problems (kidney?). Once you understand that the foundation for good health is dependant on supporting the body with an optimal amount of nutrients through whole, natural foods, you can build the groundwork to support a healthy lifestyle. To support the natural whole foods diet a basic supplemental program will be beneficial (see attached).
According to Prescription for Nutritional Healing by Phyllis A. Balch, CNC, to maintain good kidney function, drink plenty of quality water – at least ten 8-ounce glasses daily. Water dilutes urine which helps prevent concentrations of the minerals and salts that can be problematic. Putting fresh lemon juice in a glass of warm water first thing in the morning can be very cleansing for the kidneys. Marshmallow root tea is also cleansing to the kidneys.
